Beginnings, endings, and then begin again
Michael Cain | MME President
First, I would like to wish each of you a Happy New Year. Hopefully, the start of 2023 has been good for you and yours. As I begin this, my final newsletter article as your president, I can’t help but reflect on this past administrative year and all that has been accomplished. In some ways it seems like the we were just at the Winter Institute in Troy instead of making final preparations for the one later this month in Grand Rapids. Sure, there have been plenty of challenges, but we have worked our way through them one by one and, hopefully, will be even better prepared and ready for anything MME going forward. Read more. |

Member’s Success
Martin A. Colburn | Chair, Member Success Committee
How do we measure a member’s success? There are so many different values and goals that each one of us can measure success. Our profession, not unlike many others, has been slow in supporting women in management positions. Read more. |

Experience Committee Update
Al Vanderberg | Chair, Experience Committee
The Experience Committee will be rolling out the updated MME History at the Winter Institute in a few weeks. The updated version will consist of the previous versions combined into a digital format with some updated material. The intent is to make this a living document that can be updated annually as we go instead of a printed document (though we may print a version in addition to the digital version at some point) that exists for decades until someone gets the itch to update it. There will also be the capability to add video content such as interviews with MME luminaries from the past and present. Read more. |
